APPRECIATION

Our generation known as the entrepreneurial millennial is engrossed with amazing youths that would never quit till they contribute to the world's innovation even though the system offers limited opportunity to support their course. Life in its capacity is a roller coaster with loads of curvy turns, but this amazing generation still finds reasons to excel when the tunnel looks blurred to view the fore. Out of the thirsty need to participate in building the world we have envisioned where opportunities would be available for everyone to experience freedom; we often miss out on an important tool needed to enhance our journey. The tool is GRATITUDE...

We know it's imperative for us to be grateful for all we have due to our religious and moral beliefs, but we seldom practice it if we sincerely dig deep. Recent statistics from the United Nations affirmed "Nearly 1/2 of the world's population — more than 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day. More than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty — less than $1.25 a day. 1 billion children worldwide are living in poverty. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty".

If you are opportune to read this write-up, it means analytically you belong to the other half of the world that doesn't live in abject poverty, because you can afford to purchase a mobile data (probably), own a phone (no matter how old-fashioned it seems), and also afford a meal per day (most likely). The reason we belong to this category is not due to our intellectual or moral competence, but it's because God has chosen to include us in this fortunate group.

The delay we seldom experience during our quest to contribute our quota to this amazing world we optimistic to achieve could be demeaning; but the benefits we undeservedly receive from life is worth enormous gratitude that supersedes the delays.... Our desire to change the world and prove to the skeptics that the alluring, and amiable world where equal opportunities would be created for everyone regardless of their social status, and a system free of bureaucracy and nepotism could be achieved if we are convinced on the essence of showing genuine gratitude for what we presently possess. Genuine gratitude introduces peace, attracts blessings from the most high and consequently eases our battle towards achieving our goal.

We won’t give up on the world we have envisioned because our task is not as cumbersome as they perceive....

Think inwardly and show more gratitude as we work towards building a new home for our generation and those after us...
