LIFE; ITS PRIZE AND PRICE

It’s quite inherent for us to desire goodies from life and aspire towards achieving our dreams, but I think it’s also inexplicable when we find ourselves consumed by the fear generated by our desires. Luxuries are human organic cravings from life due to our attraction to materialism, but I think there are more details to consider in our pursuit for material and immaterial desires.

I feel it's imperative to clarify that our desire for material reward from life is not wrong, but understanding the dynamism of our desires to enhance the condition of our mind is the objective.

We need to think inwardly and also endeavour to become wary with our wishes, because life in its inimitable capacity would always remain faithful. Life never changes; it follows the same rules as innovated by the Almighty from inception and would continue in its noble course as far as the Almighty permits. Life is a loyal friend if understood, but the disciplined and theoretical mode it operates seldom conforms to our ways.

Though life seldom rewards us with goals that are extremely abstract and unrealistic from the human perspective in some instances; remain assured that there is likelihood that life would reward you with whatever you desire provided your desires are attainable. Rewards from life are the things I refer to as Life PRIZE(S).

 Life prizes could vary from marrying your dream partner to having amazing children, enjoying an amazing career, acquiring power, wealth, fame or promotion to an enviable position.  We can relate to several situations in life as it befits us that could be termed as a reward from Life. At a designated time preordained by God, life would visit with its prize….When Life prize arrives it often overwhelms the soul. It wets our thirsty appetite, nourishes our famished abdomen and also tweaks the edgy tales of a lineage.

Our mind is emotionally connected to our feelings and tangible things it perceives. In this regard, when life prize(s) arrives, there is tendency for our mind to tilt towards the direction our emotions recline. As much as we desire to hold on to our prizes, Life returns at some point during our merry sojourn to ask for its PRICE.

What do I mean by Life PRICE? Life price are the things life request as a return for any reward it gives us. Hmmmm, I guess this sounds quite outlandish, but it’s a sublimely proven fact. The price could be mild, subtle and at times unpleasant; but never designed to consciously cause a major havoc provided we were patient with Life to deliver the Prize at its preordained time.

The time you had to sacrifice your comfort to ensure your children are fed is a price, unexpected snags or societal pressure associated with fame is a price, increasing nagging responsibilities associated with wealth is a price, criticism and halt freedom sometimes associated with power is a price, exasperating moment with your spouse is a price, challenges associated with your job is a price. The lists are quite endless and we can all relate to it within our sphere.

Life requires us to have some level of spiritual and mental maturity to fulfill our price payback; hence some certain rewards are delayed till we are matured to cope with the challenges of paying back. Life is fair and never intends to stress us most especially when we have fulfilled our obligation to remain patient in receiving our prize. It’s appropriate to remain patient if we assume some certain rewards are delayed, because life might be looking out for the perfect time that would be apt to enjoy the rewards without setbacks.

I think there is a need to reiterate that Life prices are designed to make us stronger, and also move on with our life quest. Our experience would only increase our faith and subsequently lead to enjoying more alluring gifts from life. When the journey seems to appear bleak and event around us fickle, stay firm and re-position your mind on the positives.

Succinctly, remind yourself that Life often rewards with prizes and tests us with prices to make our journey more fulfilling and inspiring to others.
